With a nod to tumbling blocks, this irregular patchwork design will appeal to intermediate and experienced crocheters who enjoy combining colours and interesting stitches to create texture and visual impact.

The pattern uses popcorn stitches and front and back post variations of half treble, treble and double treble stitches to crochet the different shaped motifs. Each piece is then finished with a border.

Create an extra-large blanket measuring 203 x 168cm using 8ply yarn – approx 8600m (600m border and joining colour, 100m each of 80 different colours)
