Learn the Dutch Braid technique using the Diamond pattern by Lisa van Klaveren.  This technique can be used to make textured afghans, squares or inserts into winter outfits. 

When:  Tuesday 30th May 9.30am – 11.30am OR Wednesday 1st July 5.30pm – 7.30pm

During the class Lynda will guide you through constructing a square approx 20cm x 20cm using the dutch braid technique so you have the skills to make a full afghan or a larger square.

This class is designed for those familiar with basic crochet stitches—chain stitch, double crochet, and treble crochet. 

The price includes the pattern for an afghan by Lisa van Klaveren and instruction by Lynda.  It does not include yarn or hooks.

Materials 

Any 8 or 10 ply yarn can be used that suits your finished project.  
Hook – 6mm (with 8 ply yarn) or 8mm (with 10 ply yarn)

A bit about your teacher: 

Lynda learnt to crochet when she was about 8 years old.  She has owned Crochet Australia for over 10 years where she has been regularly leading crochet classes and clinics.   Lynda has completed her Crochet Teaching Certificate with the Craft Yarn Council of America and teaches at the Crochet Teaching Course now run by the Crochet Guild of Australia.
