Please welcome yet another Timber Doctor to our network – Phil! He will be managing all of the South Island of New Zealand. We spoke to him about his reasons for joining The Timber Doctor and what he hoped to achieve with the business.What was it that attracted you to join The Timber Doctor business?
The minimum start up cost and large territory. A well-established and respected business with good processes and support. Specialised repairs and quality.
What did you do prior to becoming a Timber Doctor?
Carpenter by trade with Fletcher Construction for 25 years. Apprentice to site foreman. Then got into construction and project management and have had my own project management business, Construction Solutions Central Ltd for the past 13 years.
What territory will you manage?
All of the South Island of New Zealand.
What do you hope to achieve during your time as a Timber Doctor?
Bringing a service to the industry and customers that has been none existent to date and desperately needed.
What advice would you give to someone looking to buy a Timber Doctor franchise?
The process has been very simple with no pressure. Very transparent and able to talk to existing owners which was very reassuring. Good processes and support. I would highly recommend it.
Tell us something interesting about yourself?
Family and the grandchildren are very important to us and looking forward to spending more quality time with them. I am passionate about motorcycles any type and have just given up racing this season.
Describe your ideal weekend?
Seeing my family and the grandchildren. Going out for breakfast or lunch on a nice day with Julie my wife. Going for a ride with my mates on a nice day and spending time in my shed restoring motorcycles.
