Please welcome our newest Leather Doctors to our New Zealand team – Vishal and Dinesh. They will operate The Leather Doctor Manukau territory on the North Island.
We spoke to them about their reasons for joining The Leather Doctor and what they hope to achieve with the business.

What was it that attracted you to join The Leather Doctor business?
We like taking on challenges, and joining The Leather Doctor will be a start to a new venture. It’s a newly introduced business in New Zealand and looking forward to being part of it. Secondly, the management makes me feel like part of the family and motivates me to learn and grow with this new trade skill as a Leather and Fabric Technician.
What did you do prior to becoming a Leather Doctor?
I was a courier contractor for 8 years and Dinesh was a transport Manager for a traffic management company for around 5 years.
What territory will you manage?
We will be managing Manukau Region down south of Auckland to Pokeno.
What do you hope to achieve during your time as a Leather Doctor?
We want to develop skills and learn new techniques every day and fulfill the requirement of our customer’s needs. Because a happy customer is a happy business. Also, want to prove to the management that we are capable of getting the Timber Doctor License that will boost my revenue.
What was it about The Leather Doctor franchise that appealed to you (so that you purchased)?
From the very first email to the signing up the contract, the leather doctor team was just amazing. The process went so smoothly even though the head office is based in Australia. The information given was transparent. No rocket science was involved.
What advice would you give to someone looking to purchase a franchise?
Do your due diligence when joining leather doctor because it’s the best time to act now as it’s a new business in the NZ market. Please don’t wait till the end before it’s gone. Do it right and Do it NOW!
